The book has been interesting but not engaging and I am not sure how to articulate the difference. Although now, after Desert Rose’s story, I am finally engaged.

As Ramadan has started, and other personal reasons, I feel as though this book has found me at the perfect time in life. I’m glad I have continued reading and am looking forward to seeing how things end.

Officially logging as dnf

Idk guys… 100 pgs in and I feel like most of it is just background on the characters in town… i’ e started skimming because, so far, seems like unnecessary details especially for the supporting characters. I’m thinking if DNF’ing the book.. to the folx who have read it, is it worth continuing?

The writing is kind of boring/repetitive and i’m not sure where the book is going-& not in an anticipating way for me.. unfortunately

Yikes this might be a better book to read physically as I can barely keep up with what’s happening but the personal drama/development makes me want to continue

Kind of a lot of characters for me to keep track of. I dont even know people’s names on the reality shows i have watched until the end… lets see how this plays out…
