Very interesting read, would recommend if you're interested in the kingdom of Saxony (1806-1918) and her folk and her effort during the 1914-1918 war.

Good book would recommend

Re reading this book once again and getting quite interested in the campaign in question, has some valuable insights of how warfare could be fought in the region once again with what is mentioned in this 100 year old (reproduction) book.

Throughly enjoying the book thus far, the chapters are really short so it’s really fast going.

Just getting into the 1846 war, in which the Gurkha’s find their origin...

Just getting into the Anglo-Afghan war of the 1830's, though i'l have to say i have struggled to read the book here and there though i am nearing the end.

just getting into the true Britisher conquest of the Bengal, quite interesting, apparently a lot of french and Germans and even danes and Dutch served in the Regiment and the Honourable East India Company's other units and civil services.

Interesting book thus far I have to say, although I’m at the 1760’s at the moment I’m more eager to read through it fast to reach the Napoleonic and Victorian era, whereas it gets more interesting to myself.

Pretty interesting thus far, just getting into the creation of the unit at its first existence.

Nearly finished it besides all the personal accounts by all the different rankers, gonna read the Bengal European regiment book for a bit before finishing this one.

Really interesting thus far, giving context about saxony's history and how they felt towards the Prussian pre and during confederation.

Just got back into the book after a few months, I don’t remember most stuff but I’m in the Kenya emergency at the moment in 52 or 54.

Almost finished it, just finished the Burma war and now they’re back in Kenya (Mombasa) and northern Rhodesia (Lusaka) for VJ Day, 1945.

Starting to get into the Burmese front, almost read the entire book.

Just finished the British Somalialand campaign, of which the Northern Rhodesia Regiment and the Black watch and Punjabi's and Somalialand camel corps and East African light Artillery defended the colony until they had to retreat to Aden (Yemen) because of the superior numbers of the wops.

Now starting to get into the Burmese front.
