Kinda feel like I’m reading just to avoid picking something else to read and not out of actual interest at this point. The FMC is not doing it for me.

I am loving this so far, buuuuut the switch from first to third person for his POV chapters is jarring every time.

Reasons I dislike this FMC: 1) she’s in love with her dead sister’s boyfriend, 2) she’s a furniture flipper that uses teal paint.

They’re cute but like … if the third act conflict ends up centering around a miscommunication with his playboy persona I’m gonna be so bored with it.

Not sure if it’s actually that good or if it’s just all the praise, but I am kicking my feet.

I’m loving Lucas, but a little underwhelmed so far. And they say each other’s name way too much.

This is good - a solid 4 stars so far - but I’m not sure if I’m in the right headspace for it. I’m also not vibing with her brother being the thing keeping them apart.

Working on a slow and detailed re-read to annotate copies. (I never picked up on how often Dorian is mentioned wearing a read cloak in the first book and I just keep thinking it's an easter egg for Manon).

I don't think I'm in the right mood/headspace for this one right now. I'm struggling with it but there isn't any concrete reason or flaw that I can point to. Might try again later.

Is this what therapy feels like?

Starting with that prologue was...a choice. Please tell me the rest of this book is better written?

I trust Katee to bring them all together in a way that is satisfying, but the current emotional turmoil is a little too triggering for me. Not sure if I'll fully enjoy the rest of the series if I skip this though...

ALSO does anyone have insight into how this parallels Dark Olympus? I know Hercules is Helen's sibling, but I think I missed some of the details of how Hades and Hades aren't the same person :/

Enjoyable but slightly underwhelming so far.

This book is DARK, and I'm having to pace myself through it. I tried to read it in one sitting and got burnt out/hit a reading slump because it was too much for me to process/handle emotionally. I think a lot of the payoff hits toward the end of the book, so the beginning was really hard for me (personally), but this book is definitely good and definitely spicy. A great October read if you aren't easily squicked.

Look, y'all told me this one was SPICY and you didn't lie... I am already so obsessed with Patrick Caruthers it's not even funny. But here I am, halfway through, absolutely f-ing wrecked by that phone call with her mother. I had to put it down while I absolutely sob and if I had a therapist right now I would call them. I hope that this resolves beautifully at the end because I am EARNING my happy ending right now.

Y'all really recommended this book and no one thought to mention that the main character's name is TORY VEGA???? I don't know if I'm more annoyed that that's her name or that her sister's isn't Trina. Also I've definitely been reading too many RHs, because the way these heirs are written is a perfect setup for a #whychoose moment. I'm just saying...
