"Unburied" is a masterpiece.

In the middle of this absolutely unexpected marvel. The stories are woven around Dundee and its suburb of Broughty Ferry. Each one is self-contained, but all interrelated with recurring characters and places.
"After Perfection" is pure poetry and a masterclass in subtle storytelling. "Stanley's Inferno" and "The Gravedigger" are oddball stories, but equally deep character studies.

Needed to come and check the comments and reviews because the first chapter of this book really struck me the wrong way. Well it would seem that my reaction was pretty much the same as everyone else's.
