Definitely a lot of character building in this novel. It reminds me a bit of The Women- diving into each character in depth. I do find the random recipe entries unnecessary and distracting, and the book feels slow. I don’t find myself like really wanting to pick it up much

If I have to hear about Hollander’s slit one moreeeee time I might DNF. Where’s 👏🏼the 👏🏼fucking👏🏼 plot???????
