First cult book I’ve read since starting graduate school and the cult leader has already (seemingly and likely) improperly and (definitely) unethically diagnosed the author with borderline personality disorder. Wild. Weird how many new things I’m recognizing reading this with a different lens than I have read similar books in the past. Also it seems like her therapists pre-cult sucked BAD and that makes me sad.

I am exercising all of my self control to put this book down. Someone applaud me (kidding).

I’m truly enchanted by this and making myself read it slowly so that I can savor it.

But Theo you are in Georgia, and I’m so impressed by the amount of time you are spending outside and near water. It is hot and there are mosquitos. You are strong. Maybe Georgia isn’t as bad as Mississippi.

This book will pass by too quickly

“…these days the cast hoards ozempic.” Marcello, Colin, Mikey y’all are beautiful just the way you are. Put the syringe down. Free the SNL cast from their ozempic addiction. (I think that sentence in the book was a joke).

So basically to read at this point in life I just have to find a book that is interesting enough to distract me from the mountainous amounts of assignments I have. Cool! Taking recs!

Avoiding reading for school by RIPPING MY HEART OUT and WRINKLING MY BRAIN to this piece of literature. But I have school again tomorrow so who knows if I’ll ever get back to it?!

I look forward to being able to read more often soon!!! (I’m starting grad school Monday and may never read for fun again)
