(After Anna's identity is revealed) Oooooh... It's a different sort of failed plot device than what I thought it was. I see.

The author keeps insisting the protagonist care about Anna, but I don't know why. She hasn't done anything in this book but exist. She hasn't really helped the protag in any meaningful way, nor has she done anything to make her seem like an interesting/valuable character. She's more of a prop than a character, and the constant fixation on her (with nothing to back it) is getting annoying.

I wish Evelyn showed up more. She's a much more interesting character to me than the POV character.

Also I'm learning that I really, -really- don't like reading 1st-person POV, lol. It's really annoying to me.

Ugh, please tell me we're not getting a possessed priest in this one. 🙄 That's so overdone.

Loving this one so far!

I'm not a fan of the Absolute titles, but the art on this one tempted me. It's super cool! I love the trippy-ness of it. The story is fine so far, but the art is a delight!

The writing style reminds me of Matt Fraction. Which isn't a plus for me (I don't care for Fraction), but I'm sure would intrigue a lot of other readers.

Oh... Goodreads added a "Did Not Finish" shelf?

I find it funny that, despite being the breakout character of the story, the original Wicked Witch of the West is only here for like... 5 pages. During which she doesn't do a whole lot, and we learn very little about her. And then she dies, by accident and with little fanfare. She's really more of a prop than an actual character.

Well sir, so far you've done nothing at all except be incredibly rude to these people, most of whom are just trying to do their jobs (that you are also interrupting), so I think you deserve a little poking.

Ugh, I'm so in love with Lanz' art work on the cover/s. Those lines look so clean!
