You know, it's funny. I just finished Wuthering heights and currently, reading in parallel, The house of spirits and, apart from the tone of the three, they are all about the same thing in three very distinct corners of the world - relatively privileged people spending their time visiting each other and lamenting the lack of anything truly important to do. 👀 #deliberatelyreductionist

Honestly, I'm tired of reading about the badly-aged opinions of historical men. I find the historical background of the book interesting, I have not read a book about the big wars from the perspective of West Asian countries. But I would've much preferred to hear the story (for once!) from the female perspective. The misogynistic elaborations might be historically correct, but are also infuriating and redundant...
