Wrong book

Restarting for the third or fourth time🫠

Not a single likeable person in this book😭

Well now I just want to see how this ends.

Roy sucks too.

So far I really don’t like Andre, or Celestial for that matter.

Omg I need to know what’s going to happen next. I haven’t read a book this quickly in ages😭

Omg wtf that’s messed up, and I think I’m hooked.

I thought this book would be more depressing, maybe too early to judge but at the moment it’s pretty lighthearted considering the subject matter.

Already anxious for both characters🥲

Also Jesus why is the author so nihilistic. It’s like everyone in this book loathes the world and it comes across as super pretentious😭

Another thing that hurts the story is the pacing. We move between Sadie and Sam being friends and enemies so often that there is never time to actually feel either moment before we have to switch and feel differently. Maybe that’s the point, to evoke the chaos of lifelong relationships, but it does translate well when condensed into 400 pages.

I love this book, the subject matter and the themes. But these characters are so fucking annoying. For a bunch of Harvard and MIT students why the fuck does nobody know how to communicate.

So much of this book is hyper-specific to my interests and experiences it feels like someone took parts of my life and wrote them into the book.

Pretty cool read, also can see how the authors voice is coming through the characters, always interesting to see when you can tell it’s the author speaking and not the characters.
