The writing style is very basic for the intelligent content being explored. The concepts are all easy to understand, but the mind is not engaged by the structure of the story or the very academic way the characters are presented. The unexpected benefit of the style is that it is helping me learn speed reading by skipping over redudant use of names/fillers.

On about day 270 in a chronological plan. Esther chapter 3 or so.

On about day 240 in a chronological plan. Jeremiah 14 or so. I running behind on the 1 year plan.

The Botkins provide solid teaching to show challenges of the present culture. No one is let "off the hook." Men are responsible still for their leadership or lack of it. The real challenge is testing ourselves and the culture we have internalized to be "our own." Some do not like the paternalistic nature of the book. But is the book truthful and our own pride rejects the truth because we love the culture?

On Week 37...maybe it is week 39 now but I've been unable to read it for 2 weeks.

I'm on Section IV. What an insightful exposition of Christianity and why is makes sense. This from a former Atheist sceptic.
