Unexpected Turn - Ella Frank. 2
Best friends are suddenly super sexually attracted to each other, I didn't believe it. The dual point of view doesn't work for me. I'm also put off by the cheating. I would have felt less bad about it if the characters had actually felt bad about it, but the author seems to think it's OK as long as the boyfriend is a dick and the girlfriend must have a sister called Mary Sue.

This was a cute enemies to lovers story. There was character development, Yeay!

I think I'll see if I can return this one

I've just read 2 books By this author that I really enjoyed. This one isn't looking too promising. For now there is a lot of tedious work scenes and a potentially annoying martyr complex.

This wasn't for me. The story relied heavily on humor, unfortunately I didn't find it funny.

I liked the setting and the mystery. The romance gave me nothing. I think the story would be better without it.

This one didn't do it for me, it felt kind of childish.

Jordan Castillo Price - Everyone's Afraid of Clowns
Not sure how well this story will work for anyone who hasn't read PsyCop. I really enjoyed it. I like that in a ghost hunting story, the living people are more horrific than the dead ones.

Nicole Kimberling - Magically Delicious
I didn't get one hundred percent into this story. Possibly because it is so long ago that I read the Irregulars. Good world-building though.

KJ Charles - A Queer Trade
This was good. Great world-building. I really enjoyed the neurotic Crispin.

Ginn Hale - Swift and the Black Dog
I liked this one. I love a good anti-hero. The world-building was great! This is how to do dystopian fiction. There has to be a touch of hope.

This one confused me a bit, there were a lot of words I didn't understand. I don't know if they were made up by the author, or if they had some Chinese origin that I didn't recognize. Whatever the reason I found it difficult to lose myself in the story, because I kept stumbling upon words that I didn't recognize.

I'm struggling with this one. It feels as if the author is spending half the book setting up characters for sequels... also it's sort of angsty without any humour or action to break it up and making it enjoyable. I kind of want to dnf it, but I'm almost done...

So far I'm really disappointed. .. Ive read a few books by this author that were great, this one might just be headed for the did not finish pile. The main character is on my nerves.

I don't know what it is, but I'm kinda bored actually.

This story is supposed to be about an FBI team of profilers that spesializes in hate crimes. Even though they have been on the case for months they wait untill now to start Profiling the murderer? The Mystery/Police bit of this story doesn't make sense. The team seems incompetent in so many ways it is distracting.

This book is a bit weird for me. The stories are typical young adult adventure book ex. The hobbit, but there is also semi explicit sex in it. It's a weird combo.

This one might just be one for the did not finish pile. I'm half way through and bored. not liking the flasbacks, not liking the kids, need an expanation for why G can just turn up after 5 years and dev receiving him with open arms. I'm getting the feeling this will bs one of those books where the plot doesn't go anywhere. I guess I was hoping for a bit more of a is it him isn't it him storyline.
