I don’t get why everybody hates on this book but then eats up what SJM writes

Haven’t finished it yet but personally super enjoying it; love the tropes involved, enjoying both characters and their development and think it’s a very cool world that has been set up.

Shit is about to hit the fan

Guys I’m going to be so real, I am a fantasy lover, a smut lover and usually I will take some poorer writing for a good romantic connection and kicking my feet moments.

But I actually don’t think I’m going to be able to finish this book, current thoughts - it feels rushed, it feels far fetched and those character connections and interactions I usually love so much are not hitting.

I am bored and fed up of it.

Right so everyone and their mother on tiktok says this book is a “too dark” romance and they can’t read it so I’m putting it to the test because I read a lot of shit
