Sarah Hogle, girly. I love you. But this book is ao weird. Like, actually deranged. Both main characters are one note and annoying. Still, I kinda enjoy them because they’re camp.

I truly enjoyed the first book, but the second started off weird, and not in a good way; probably because the last 10% of the last book was also really fucking weird. Many red flags regarding non-con. It feels like the love interest did a 180 flip and I as the reader don’t even know him anymore. If the author wanted me to make me feel like the main character, who also (kind of?) distrusts this guy now, congrats.

chapter 1 — sienna diaz is very unrelatable. Weird first introduction.

chapter 2 — five years of self imposed celibacy and you wanna f*ck with a woman you’ve met for like 10 minutes? wow

chapter 3 — i don’t think sienna diaz is that funny.

chapter 5 — i guess i don’t get the flirting banter? it feels like it came out of nowhere
