I truly enjoyed the first book, but the second started off weird, and not in a good way; probably because the last 10% of the last book was also really fucking weird. Many red flags regarding non-con. It feels like the love interest did a 180 flip and I as the reader don’t even know him anymore. If the author wanted me to make me feel like the main character, who also (kind of?) distrusts this guy now, congrats.
