Thematically, I love this. Honestly, however, I’m… bored?

Reid is a beautiful writer but this is one of the instances where I feel I would’ve preferred an ambiguous ending as opposed to a sequel. Let’s see if the last 30% can change my mind.

I am not even kidding when I say I have not been able to do anything but reread the same scene over and over again when I open this book because of the chokehold it has on me. Not a page further. Same effect from Manacled 😭

I know this is YA, but this is so far from the caliber I expect from Tan’s writing. I think I need to accept that I’m not a big fan of YA anymore (I mean… I AM old 😂)
