So far, I love having the different voices for each character, and the voice actors make it truly feel like I'm listening to a documentary of rock stars recalling their time as a band.
But I feel like Warren and Pete have nothing going on for them, like they're not memorable or distinct at all to me. I don’t know if I'm just not paying attention enough when they talk, though. 😭

I'm speeding through this book, which, for me, is a sign that I really like it. But! I don't really feel attached to the characters??? I feel bad for them and whatnot, but not as if I would miss them when the book is done.

I don't know how I feel about the fact that Reid adds nods to her other books in this one, making them all in the same universe. Like it's kind of interesting but also feels kinda corny to randomly get a name drop.

The british stereotypes DO feel forced, and I thought I was just judging because it was an American author (even tho I'm american, too), but I've seen brits agree so.

Ok, I'm sorry to all those who loved it or whatever, but I'm abandoning this, hoping the movie is better.
Or just fast-paced enough that I can ignore any of the stuff that annoyed me here.
I am not all for the enemies to lovers thing in general, but it's true that this does NOT hold up as an enemies to lovers trope. It just didn't have that bite that I would have wanted.

Liking it so far, it still has the "catchiness" the first book had. I am sort of on a time crunch because someone put it on hold in the library but I think if this book continues this good I'll be just fine.
