Tell me why this is a traditionally published book that I spent my hard-earned money on with a glaring error.

Back again on my bullshit (picking up a book I soft dnf'd in the past because I'm finally in the right mood for it)

Literally read another chapter and was back to being intrigued again and then read another chapter and was back to being bored. The whiplash between being intrigued and bored is driving me nuts LOL maybe I'm struggling with the pacing?
