Great start! Reminds me of the fun and mystery from the first Tao book.

Couldn't finish this one. The politics of it is driving me up the wall, and I just don't like any of the characters. It doesn't help to have such a huge amount of different characters either. :/

And this is where I'm putting the book to the side for a while. I'm finding the book really long-winded and I still don't really like any of the characters. :P

Did Sara sign a sponsorship deal with PepsiCo by any chance? Oh, add my vote for taser-enhanced vending machines. It'll spawn a whole lot of entertaining YouTube videos.

Ah! It's good to be back in the "Zeroverse". 5 chapters in so far and of course, the book opens much like a runaway train; full steam ahead. I'm enjoying getting reacquainted with alien swearing and the different species. ;)

I hadn't actually read this before. Now, Hannah and I are reading this one out loud to each other. :P

It's taking a lot of effort to get excited about this book. It's been building really slowly, and now, half-way through, everything is sort of turned up-side down. I don't really know what to make of it. I'll keep reading because I'm curious where the author is going with this...

Less brutal, but having difficulty keeping up with all the alien words, ranks, species, planets, etc. "Lengths are based off the height of ferlii on Poen, and are about four hundred and forty rods." Are you with me on that?

Kinda put this to the side for the moment. I can't quite get into it and I don't know why. I'll probably pick it back up again soon.

That was a high-paced and brutal start to a YA book. :p

This. Book. Is. Amazing.

Chapter 43. Someone's captured someone else again. And aliens. Why are there aliens? It's an entertaining read so far.
