Instead of studying for my LSAT I’m sitting here sobbing over a fictional mountain lion and it’s awesome

I am NOT against tropes in romance, but I think the grumpy x sunshine stuff just isn’t for me (btw the “sunshine” character is in fact not sunshine) cause the whole time I’m stuck thinking “man, people do NOT act like this.” Unnatural/exaggerated characters can work, but so far this story takes itself and it’s characters relatively seriously, so it doesn’t work

I'm still trying to make sense out of how I feel about this book. At some moments I feel myself being pulled in and just have/i> but at many other points I feel myself losing interest. To be fair, it's not a reflection of the quality but rather of my own personal interests

Certain things have been made evident, and i am not ready to put myself through that emotional turmoil. Gonna go play minecraft instead

Reading for book club. So far it does feel very much 1-to-1 with the film aside from some other details, which is fine in principle but I’m not a fan of the movie so I hope it starts to diverge. It’s very much a fairy tale vibe which is not good for me because that kind of storytelling often leads to a feeling of disconnect from the characters, which is not good me (a certified character-driven reader)
