OH GOOD GRIEF. She’s getting assaulted and meanwhile max is throwing a hissy fit and storming out the door.

I’m having a hard time cheering for these two. They’re both so immature. Misunderstanding tropes drive me nuts and so far this one has had like, 5. Stop assuming the worst and actually communicate with each other or stop sleeping together.

I’m 22 minutes in and if it wasn’t so short I’d have stopped listening 10 minutes ago. It’s boring.

Not loving the style so far.

And then it immediately gets so much worse. UGH.

This book is pissing me off.

Slow and long but still good. Last 10% moved faster and wrapped everything up well.

Picking on a teenager and new levels of petty. For sure the author intends us to hate her.

I’m hoping the author intends for us to hate June because she just keeps getting more annoying.

The main character is unlikable and so far I don’t care about the plot. Just waiting for June’s lies to catch up to her since I’m sure that’s coming.

Would not have made it this long and would for sure stop listening right now if this book wasn’t so short. With only a little over an hour in the audiobook I figure I might as well finish it and maybe I’ll end up liking it?

Did they not test for gun powder residue?

Also. Wendy sets Millie up and no one who knew the real Douglas - his secretary and lawyer - are calling foul? When they both knew Wendy sucks and the lawyer knew a divorce meant she wouldn’t get any money but with his death she stood to inherit A LOT?

This time around Millie is a lot less likable. Maybe I’d like the book better if Brock wasn’t in it at all? But she spends the entire book ignoring him, ghosting him, and in general putting him off - but he’s in love with her? Ok. And literally the whole setup could’ve been avoided had she had normal conversations with him and shared her concerns about Wendy and “Douglas”.

I feel like I’ve read a book with this exact plot before…

I’d have left right after the peanut butter thing. I feel like Millie needs a more compelling reason for me to believe she’s stay through Nina’s crazy. (Unless, since we’re hearing Millie’s side, she’s making things up.)

“We’re not allowed to die for our children. The universe won’t let us, because then there wouldn’t be any mothers left.” 😭😭😭

I immediately hate the narrator.

It’s fine, but I feel like it should be wrapping up and I still have 2hr listening time left.

I love it already. This author has become a “must read” for me.

Struggling with this one because the FMC is SO unlikable. My hope is her personality completely changes as the book proceeds.

Maybe it’s because I’m listening to the audiobook but the million hashtags and social media hype/posting is driving me nuts. Finishing it purely because I only have 1.5 hours left to listen but I can already tell I won’t listen to any others.

I hate the women in this book. Hoping that eventually changes.
