Why is every single moment of this series SO well done?

My review for Legendborn had to have gushed about the creativity it must have taken to blend so many concepts together into such a rich and cohesive world, but wow. I'm still in complete awe of Deonn's storytelling finesse.

I had forgotten how rich this story was and how much Deonn's style is suited to it.

I think one of the things I love about Backman's works is how artfully he introduces his readers to such magnificent sonder. We truly are just one in a million protagonists of our own stories.

This one is getting plenty of highlights.

Edgedancer was a great way to close out this collection.

I do not recommend letting the incredible Kate Reading read Edgedancer to you at night while your husband is trying to sleep.
You will laugh.
Your husband will not be pleased.

I had forgotten what interactions between Lift and Wyndle were like. What a delight to revisit them!

Ah, so Brandon churned out this horrifying story for a George RR Martin anthology on dangerous women. Knocked it out of the park.
But also my faint heart would like to never read this again.

Wait, what?? I do not appreciate this break to follow side characters only to have nothing come out of this insane interesting revelation.

I was breezing through this book until I realized that finishing it will require emotional labor.

I was completely unaware of how much swearing was involved in exercise these days.

I wonder if Montell was challenged to see how many times she could work Donald Trump into this book - as if his infamous polemics were the only cultish example in the highly divisive politics of America today.
