LaDarrion certainly knows how to open up a book with heart-gripping moments. We are seeing the effects of mommy issues play out in real time when Malik is trapped in a house for weeks with her.

Elsbeth has had more other woman/ man drama in this book than anyone should have to deal with. If I were her I’d be done all together.

Ali, that was a hell of a way to release some information. Auntie is lethal.

Ali’s personality and all her humor is on full display with this one. Also her ability to vividly write…

This book went from 0 to 300,000 in 20 pages. Like wait, what? Huh? How? I knew this was going to be a quickie but damn let me get my bearings together for a second.

Oof, that line just did me in.
“I’m glad he found you….”

That way Julian just read that entitled young lady for filth about her behavior in front of her friends while standing up for Sean just made my day! Then he topped it off with “Now apologize”. Let’s go find another conference room honey lol.

Jah’s not so subtle message about people not liking Jeffie, Skyler and Core’s story not needing to read it… can’t be any clearer. Got it, message received!

At this point, I’m ready for Mary to slap the piss out of these people. Since I don’t imagine her getting reelected, she might as well go out in a blaze of glory. Since Ms. Linquist decided it was her honor to hand her these papers I think she should be the warm up.

I said it…. I knew it was going to be Mark and Ms. Kopel causing the issue. Couldn’t be just one pain in the ass, they just had to unknowingly double team this!

I love it when I’m right.

Immediately invested in the story just because she deserve to piss her self absorbed ex husband off with her happiness. (With a younger man at that!)

A bratty vampire?! Yeah this is going to be something. Also why on earth would she need bodyguards that are human… seems a little ironic to me lol.

Please tell me that Alessandro’s book is out in the world somewhere just waiting for me to read it. He’s so damn funny.

Why you already trying to make me cry with this bathroom scene between Sim and Meer? Please Jah, handle me with care.

Oooweee plot twist!

There’s never a break in the chaos, is there? Let Diamond breathe for a second. Can she just get a moment of peace on her birthday?

Ikyfl Dedra you are diabolical… I just can’t with you.

I’ve got to stop letting my imagination run wild because if this actually happens I am throwing the kindle across the room and putting myself in time out for not being more shocked because I saw it coming.

This family has hands that are rated E for everyone. It’s literally run up get dun up in these streets of Chicago!

I can see how this is going to go off the rails fast.

I’m so very sat for this story!

High key in a bit bored by this one… but in going to see it through.

I can’t tell if he is unhinged and I should be turned off or he’s just persistent and down bad for her and I should be attracted to his energy.

Elliot I’m going to hold your hand while I say this… You’ve got to quit being a push over and a people pleaser.

This moment would be the start of my villain story… grief on top of betrayal. Better start fixing yall lips to call me Evil Elliot from this day forward.

I’m so sick of Esi and need Fiona to put her in her place immediately!!

I’m having a jolly good time with this one… you’d think it really was Christmas with the smile on my face after that scene.

I knew it… Naima, you snuck in 2 of my least favorite tropes into this book and somehow I’m still here.

If I were at this gala I would have dropped my champagne flute being nosey trying to listen into the conversation that’s taking place. This is the chisme that Nikki has been craving and she’s too busy to listen.

Am I going to read this in a day?!? I haven’t fine this in so long.
