This is the only type of literature my brain can handle when school is in session.

Here we are again, counting our grad school reading towards our book goal.

You’d better believe I’m logging my grad school reading on Goodreads.

This book has been wildly controversial because the author is not Mexican. The book got a huge advance and major press, while other Mexican authors are struggling to have their own voices widely shared in the lit community. But I pre-ordered it before knowing about the controversy. And I struggle with writing off a book based off a few very scathing reviews. So here we are.
