Interesting World War 2 story about a group of American prisoners of war and how they were treated by the Japanese and the Rangers that launched a mission to free them.

A great nonfiction book is written like it is fiction. Detail and connections to characters are very much there even though it is a story written in fact.

The sun went down and the soldiers are being held down in a group of buildings with low ammo and no night observation devices. Mike Durant was captured and is being held for ransom.

I mean, it's a book about sword combat, it's not useful in my life and will not teach me a skill that I will ever use. I love it. The meaning of half the things written has to be interpreted because it is a literal translation of 1560s German.

Very dark and scary time for the soldiers in this book. The descriptions in the book are extremely detailed, and the book stays on topic and is able to move perspectives without losing the subject of the story.

This was a great warning against totalitarian governments. The actual story is not amazing, but the actions the government takes in the book are extremely interesting and some of the same actions are happening today.

Interestingly written a book about the evils of Communism and Totalitarianism. The book is based on a farm that represents Russia and all the animals represent different people and groups in Russia during the revolution and after.

This book is a very interesting look at North Korea in a more personal way with the stories. I'm probably not going to finish it, because I don't really like nonfiction.

This is a very interesting book about North Korea. It focuses more on the stories of North Korean Defectors that fled to South Korea. I find it very educational without feeling like a textbook.

This book doesn't just have a "good and an evil side" to it. Many times I feel really bad for the evil side as I would for any other book's "good side" The character development in this series is very well done.

So far just as good as the first one, but introduces more political issues happening in the universe. New problems are introduced rather than lingering on the problems in the last book.

A decent simplified version of the first 3 Crusades, focusing on the 3rd Crusade. Christian Crusaders are demonized quite a bit compared to other parties.
