This was so good! It might’ve been better than Unloved, which I liked more than Unsteady. However, Corinne needs a more ruthless editor. This one dragged on a little long, and although it was beautifully written and handled the sensitive topics with extreme care, the overall plotting could’ve been tighter. I also felt that the climax was a little unrealistic. But all in all this was such a lovely ride. 4.5.

This was cute! Although the FMC’s prickliness did start to wear on me, and I also felt that her family conflict was resolved too easily. 3 stars!

Oh my GOD THAT’S WHY. Wow, what a fucking chilling twist. I did not see that coming.

This was so precious. Even though Freddy was very man-written-by-a-woman in an unbelievable way, I didn’t care. I loved their dynamic. I did, however, feel that the moment everything came to a head was a little anticlimactic. Also, this book had the opposite problem from Unsteady—the ending was too drawn out. Still, this one was my favorite of the two! So heartwarming. 4 stars.

Overall, this was cute! The epilogue was especially sweet, and I was so jazzed there wasn’t a third-act breakup. The climax and ending felt rushed though, and I did feel that it would’ve been more powerful to actually see Sadie report her coach, rather than being told it was done in passing. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Rhys constantly calling her “little” in almost every other sentence. 3 stars.

“Her little hands” —I, like… cannot with the obsession with female leads being small and little. Saying “her little hands” and “her little body” over and over again in a sexual context is just gross. Like, “little” is how you’d describe a child, not grown woman 🤢 It’s really making it difficult for me to enjoy the other parts of this otherwise fun book lol

I could not believe my eyes reading some of the one-star reviews on this one. Yall really wanted a woman to sacrifice her hopes and dreams and the career she spent her whole life working toward—for a man she just met? Nooooo. This was so do better. I’m so glad Ballard didn’t go that route. I did wish Allegra reported David though. I’ll knock off a star for that. But I loved this so much otherwise. 4 stars.

Book one didn’t work for me but I was obsessed with this one. The trapped at a BnB in a snowstorm/forced proximity/only one bed/TV weatherpeople/grumpy sunshine setup really killed. Also, no third act break up??? So good. 10/10.

This mostly didn’t work for me. I loved the main couple’s dynamic for the first 60% or so, but Aiden’s weird fuckboy refusal to put himself in a position where he’d have to commit really grated on me after a while. I loved BK’s writing though. This still managed to get me out of a slump. 3.5 stars.

Cons: Lots of retconning and insta love. I’m also not a fan of the fact that Bannen really leaned hard into giving some characters IRL slang—specifically the immortal demigod who is over 100 years old (“funsies” and “TLDR” stand out among many, many other examples).

Pros: Lots of cameos from beloved characters in earlier books!

There was a lot more Molly/Andrew in this one and it was definitely giving Feyre/Rhys in ACOSF at times with the amount of spotlight they got in a book that isn’t even theirs. But still loved this one!

Always so cute

BKB has done it again! This was super cute. I did feel like it was missing something for me personally, but I still had fun! 4 stars.

This had everything I love - Christmas romcom, murder mystery, a love interest who’s a total simp. It did verge on being a little melodramatic for my personal tastes at times, but still was so much fun. 4 stars.

I totally forgot she killed off a dog in this book 😭 That aside, this is still as gripping & fun as I remember it being. Thankfully, I forgot all the twists and got to enjoy watching them unfold again! The audiobook was also excellent. It featured multimedia sections that were voiced by a full cast & spliced among the normal single-speaker narrative. -1 star for Barney who didn’t deserve his fate 😭

The perfect read for this time of year! Plus the audiobook is a 10/10.

While this was not particularly well written, I stuck it out and the story grew on me. It was a fun, cute, if a bit shallow, diversion. Not sure if I’ll continue with the series though since it ended pretty decisively. 3 stars.

This needed an epilogue. Though slow, I was enjoying it, but the ending didn’t hit the HEA home enough. It was a bit depressing which lowered my overall enjoyment of the book. 3.5 stars.

At once laugh-out-loud funny and resolutely heartfelt, this fifth entry in Disney’s Meant to Be series was a fun yet meaningful ride from start to finish. The romance needed a bit more development, but aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this book and could not put it down! 4 stars.

This is always such a fun audiobook 😍

This was SO much better than book 3! Fresh, fun, and really engaging. Similar to book 2, some of the resolutions were difficult to buy into, but I could suspend my disbelief a little more this time. I also found the ending to be a little too neat, and the decision to allow a scheming antagonist—whose actions killed thousands—to live seemed like a hamfisted attempt at teasing the sequel. But overall, I had fun!

Lmao. This was like a bad telenovela. The twists were insane and so far out of character from what was established in book one that I couldn’t suspend my disbelief. Also??? Whit doing what he did and then telling her he’s not even sorry????? You can have no regrets for your actions but still feel remorse. That’s possible. The fact that he had neither was crazy. Boy bye.

Oh man I forgot about that twist. I have a bad feeling about the sequel now 😅

Iiiiiiiii really needed way more of a conclusion than what we got. Literally in one of the last interactions between the MCs, the MMC makes a cutting, unnecessary jab at FMC. I understand his emotions. But then why are you forgiving her? Then we fast forwarded 1 year and all additional conflicts that blossomed from that revelation are glossed over. Idk. I needed to see more growth before I could buy the HEA.

This was extremely engrossing. I loved it. However, I have to say that one contradiction with the antagonist’s story breaks the world building apart for me. The instant she becomes a vampire, she zeroes in on feeding off woman—becoming what she hates, a predator who targets women. We are told halfway in that she morally decayed over time, but she was always like this—a monster no different than her husband.
