Disgusting. All of chapter 8 is infuriating, insulting, and repulsive. This survivor survived, for sure, but it is clear that he needs so much more help deprogramming. Also, I find it incredibly wild that he claims that if Mount Carmel had been in a more liberal state than Texas, the sexual abuse of children may never have been an issue with authorities because liberals are more accepting. Excuse me!!!!

I’m excited to have so much book left. I’m not ready to leave this world and these people.

This is definitely not the type of thing I can read for long sittings, even though I really want to. Setting it down for a bit in the name of self-care.

Since when do books not have page numbers. How am I supposed to mark my progress?! By guessing!! Or worse, counting? No. Be glad I don’t update my progress constantly on GR. You’d unfollow me in an instant. Get on StoryGraph, you losers. You can update your progress obsessively without annoying people.

OK, I know that it was part of my reading goals this year to DNF more books. But his other two books were so good. Am I less interested just because other books that are more interested came available from the library? Or should Andy Weir stick with sciencing to survive narratives and leave crime to others? Maybe I’ll just sit on this and come back.

OK I thought the vouched-for second person would make enduring call center scripting possible. I remain undecided. We shall let this sit for a couple hours before we make any further decisions about whether or not keep reading.

Saw the movie for the first time. Immediately rented this. I am feelings.

This is the first graphic book/comic I’ve committed to doing it on iPad/phone. And like, it’s totally a million hands above readying on paper? Where has this been all my life? It is cinematic! Why was reading that other one graphic memoir on my iPad so bad?
