Dreaming in Celadon > Recent Status Updates

Is it formulaic? Yes. Do I adore this formula? Also yes. Every time I read this I want to cook and the stories are so sweet that I can’t help but tear up.

So far this one reminds me of how I feel about Donna Tartt. I am in love with their prose more than their pacing, plot, and characterization.

This advice is not excellent thus far and I'm almost done with this book. There are a few gems, but so far it's a collection of bad clichés, advice that comes from the perspective of privilege, and unattributed maxims/rules (like Hofstadter's law). At one point he advises to throw candy out the window when kids misbehave while on road trips? O_O
