I’ve finished 10 of the 17 stories in this collection. Pausing here after “Queen of the Black Coast” feels like a good place.
Partly due to not being able to renew the book from the library, but also as it’s a good place to sit with what I’ve read and let it simmer.
Prior to this I was only vaguely familiar with Conan, and at that due to Roy Thomas’ wonderful Marvel Comics adaptations from the 1970s.

I totally stalled out on this book.
can’t quite put my mind to why.
oh well, the library wants it back, and so i’ll take it out again in a few months hoping a break will allow me to dice back into this world.
