Arabella “you are a scandal!”
Hawkes is a genius and my favorite! Bizarre! Mysterious! Discerning!
Lady Spencer needs a sudden death! She’s horrific!

I share a birthdate with Emma M Lion! And I’m excited about that!

Easy to binge listen! The narrator is great. The characters both hilarious and interesting. There’s a hint of Jane and Charlotte … I thought that Emma’s attitude was a bit anachronistic but the women’s suffrage movement occurred in 1848. The 4th book is my favorite so far.

Well written… I like the characters

So far it’s quite enjoyable…

Funniest sad story I’ve ever read! I’m actually enjoying this book. The audio voice was perfect.

Such a weird story… sad, humorous, but so human

I hate the small faint print!

This was a bizarre story. Don’t know how I feel about it…

I’m torn about her narrating her own book. I’m listening to it and it’s easy to daydream… I don’t know the verdict is still out

This the first time I’ve read a physical copy of Macomber and I prefer audio. The characters have potential but this is a Cinderella story in an uninteresting way. Furst and Gallagher sound like a crime fighting duo and really are likable but the story is falling flat and cliche.

Sob! Carter!…

Such an interesting premise!

If you’ve Hunger games you know that Haymitch has a past but this is so bleak! I want Snow dead! He’s treacherous and vindictive. I’m going to add this to my library but I don’t know if I want to reread it.

Only a white skeleton and an axe…

I agreed to buddy read with my 15 year old niece. I prefer this to Netflix show. I let her choose this so that she would read something. She’s already on book 2. Jackie is a character that I don’t love… I don’t have a lot of empathy for her…

Is Faber friend or foe? He gives him the Bible to read and he chooses the Book of Job. Job who lost everything and everyone, but did not curse God. He stood in faith.

The LuLu situation was disturbing…I am listening to the audio and I don’t know how I feel about the narrator, I’ve slept thru some of it but I will purchase it so that I can complete the set.

One of the best books I’ve read…. “It was a pleasure to watch it burn”

This is an interesting story. I wanted to celebrate my country by reading several books recommended by the library.

Beyoncé is now ranked with Maria Aurelius?!! What is happening!

I thought that I couldn’t go wrong reading a book about books! I WAS WRONG! This is social commentary wrapped up in my favorite story plots. Filled with tropes! Identity theft, book banning, child abandonment, alphabet community support…I refuse to DNF! Q

They are in the promised land! Given by God who went ahead of them.

Dimitri…

After reading the letters of Berlin I wanted to read another of her books.

This should be read along with 1984 by every American!

Not my favorite but enjoyable!
