So excited to see where this goes!!

I’m on chapter three and I can already tell that you need some knowledge on Chinese history and mythos/folklore to truly understand and enjoy it. Luckily for me I know a little about it (shout-out to the podcast TransplanarRPG and it’s gm, Connie Chang, for teaching me some stuff, especially name pronunciations) so I’m not too confused about anything yet

Just finished chapter six

Just started chapter six! Super informative and easy to digest

Feeling very wary about the appearance of Theo. I already don’t like love triangles, but when both romantic interests kinda suck?? just Blegh. Might have to dnf this one friends.. we’ll see how it goes.

I can already tell it’s a little amateur-ly written. If it weren’t for all the gore I’d think this was a book for middle schoolers; but I don’t know, maybe I’m being too quick to judge. I’ll keep reading and see if I like it any better.

Mmm, very good. I’m extremely tense because everyone I know has told me it’s gonna be brutal, but I’m trying to enjoy the calm before shit hits the fan.
