i am never reading unfinished bookseries again, this is agony!!

i cannot stop reading but i also never want to finish this book

what an incredibly beautiful book, i feel as i am under a delirious ecstatic spell

My favourite thing about all these books so far are all the “heavens, but …“ exclamations. & Cyrus and Alizeh obviously

the first 300 pages are beautifully written, a slow unfurling, not very eventful

but soon after this becomes the most beautiful story. it’s sweeping me off my feet, all these gorgeous words and poetic sentences, witty banter and breathtaking love confessions!! what a magnificent book !!!!!

Henry bores me a bit. It’s not that I don’t care for him at all, but his chapters of the book feel like a contemporary novel, whereas Addie & Luc’s feel like a sweeping magical emotionally complex dark fairytale. And I like one significantly more than the other haha

aren is okay, not sweeping of your feet but decent

i really like lara

zarrah and keris’s love quite literally seeps of the pages in even a few sentences and i’m so damn excited to read their books

i adore lara, she is an amazing character

aren is annoying and an unconvincing lover

0-10% were so captivating
10-50% were good but usual, quite repetitive to the genre and i was a bit confused about manh scene descriptions, how to imagine the location and placement
50-75% now i’m having so much fun hehe

the constant emphasis on the perfectness of their bodies is annoying me a little. her “tiny footprints” and “his shoulders twice as broad as hers”, and the constant (3x in 50 pages) mention of how perfect her boobs are by other characters?

i’m going to sleep hihi, but oh it’s already so good? i’m not sure how to describe it but the writing is gooooood! not in pretty words necessarily, but it makes me read all the words so intensely, and builds the whole world in such detail with very little effort

i just finished the prison healer trilogy! it’s 00h33 and i’m starting this book :) the writing feels like a breath of fresh air, the story unravels so poetically in my mind (tph was very literal, although i did really enjoy it and i’m so fond of the characters, i miss them)

i’m finishing this trilogy because although the writing is plain, and because of that the characters lack so much, i am curious and it’s fun enough :)

however, what i notice a lot and now i wonder if this is the case with all ya fantasy and i did not notice before?
but a characters goodness is so damn literal! he saves kids and kisses puppies and never hurts anyone and it’s so literal it feels unconvincing?

book recommendations for… ?

- fantasy
- main character 20 years old +
- no or very few explicit scenes
- well written

besides that, anything !!

at this moment i am not very inclined to read the second book?

and please don’t let jaren be the love interest he bores me

spontaneously decided to read this in the airport?
also i want to read all the young adult fantasy books i’ve ever wanted to read as soon as possible because i’m aging to a point where it starts to feel a little distracting to read about characters so much younger than me but written to be relatable to me (different from how for example a children’s book is fun to see the mind of a little kid)

finishing the song of achilles feels like i have survived something i have not healed from. certain music, or words fill my chest with such a deep beating soft pain of the tragedy of reading that book.

i’m 1/4th in and it’s still quite a modern setting, and the magic feels very distant?
i don’t know why but i expected a more mystical magical world…
very interesting and fun read so far though :)
