I’m not enamored with this so far. It’s still setting the stage and just feels like an overview of space science up the current day.

Second time I’ve cried reading a book this week.

I started this book 2 years ago and put it on hold when it got into nitty gritty details about things I wasn’t super familiar with on even a surface level.

Now that I know a little bit more (and am behind in my reading challenge), I’ve picked it back up and am obsessed with all the acrostics and intentional details. Never would have picked up on them before. Very cool.

This book is adorable. NPH narrates the audiobook and its a must have.

“It wasn’t enough to just be against the old way of doing things or the adulterated patriotism that many of the Republicans had claimed. Being opposed to something but for nothing of your own isn’t enough. Opposition isn’t enough to vote for or stand on. You need an affirmative. That’s what I wanted to offer.”

Wouk is pretty funny.

This book is fascinating, so I also ordered a hard copy that I can annotate.
