These poems are just not hitting me in an emotional way.

This is really helping me to contextualize the moon. I want to read books about all the planets!

It's less repetitive now, but I'm not feeling Ha Jin's style at all.

It's less prescriptive the more you read it. I'm not going to take all the recommendations to heart, but the the book is worth the read so far.

Still liking this, though it's starting to feel a little repetitive and obsessive, though it makes sense why considering the subject matter.

The author's vocal aggression towards astrology is maddening.

It's okay. Annoyingly dismissive of astrology in an in-your-face way, which makes me think the author is biased in how the topic is presented and purposefully leaving things out.

I now understand why Geometry confused me. I have also made peace that I won't understand this book 100%, but I'm going to take away what I can from this and maybe reread it one day when I feel like I have more grounding to approach the material effectively.

Really liking this so far. Lots of good, archetypal metaphors that help form a cohesive narrative. There is a lot of experimentation here, which I normally loathe, but the cohesive narrative only makes the experimentation echo a mood, so it's very good.

The story is growing on me more and more.

Chapter four is a bit easier than chapter three, though I must admit chapter three, despite being difficult, did teach me a lot and I felt more prepared for chapter three.

Ordered a copy of my birth certificate to confirm the date after the confusion, and it's nice to have certainty when reading through this book now. Makes it easier to apply what I learned.

Really like it so far even though the author is a bit prosey. There is a lot of environmental romanticism told with a simple beauty that is compelling in all the right ways.

This is good information, but the writing is dry.

Grammar is more fascinating than I thought. And oddly psychological. And metaphysical. What.

I'm starting this last section and I'm liking it more.
