Am I reading this out of order, absolutely! I also did not know there was another book here this…but anyways here I go!

Okay, I know I’m close to the end here but seriously, enough of the pop culture references!!! I’m actually getting so annoyed! “Apple Bottle Jeans”….ugh I need a brain reset

Okay just to confirm my question/reaction that I had, yeah there is no Jake from State Farm in this scene…it quite literally was thrown in there…

Am I going crazy…because Hank is in the vet clinic…not Jake from State Farm…was that a typo?

“Jake from State Farm spotted me first and bounded over to greet me.”

I feel like that is so random…

I can definitely relate to being laid off, it’s such a painful feeling. Seeing Samantha go through this is heartbreaking too! She lost so much and it’s like she is being kicked while she is already down.

I know there was some build on these big issues but why do I get the feeling that the ending will be a bit rushed…hopefully it won’t feel like that

This is one of my favorite ways a character can express when they have been in love with another character…so romantic!!

I know this is an emotional moment in the book, which is why I’m so confused why the “worm” reference is in here. I feel like these additions of pop culture references should be put in if it’s a symbolism to something.

Other than that, I’m so heart broken for Samantha! That’s so sad!!

Getting close to the last third of this book and now my official rating (once I’m finished) will be a four star…it’s good but the pop culture references (especially the old TikTok trends that are being referenced in here) are annoying me a lot…

“Would you love me if I was a worm?”…seriously? (Again this is a me problem…sorry)

Yeah…maybe that’s just me but we couldn’t have worded that differently? It’s definitely huge “pop culture” reference when it comes to some of the language used…yeah it’s definitely a me problem haha 😂

I usually am not the biggest fan of Insta Lpve but something about this book makes me love how natural their connection is. This is the type of “insta love” that you see in rom-coms which I make an exception to. Not saying I’ll love the insta-love trope (won’t happen) but I make my exceptions to some books.

I think…I might have found the book to snap me out of my beginning of the year reading slump…once I’m done with Say You’ll Remember Me, I must finish up PWMOV (already saw the movie and I have thoughts…). Hopefully I’ll finally to be able to finish Magnolia Parks (whenever the Libby copy becomes available again)

I like how this isn’t just a romance book, it’s also about Samantha trying to reconnect with her mom and family. Her mom has dementia and Sam feels immense guilt for not being there for her. I love seeing her attempts to get closer to her family and try her best to get close to her mom again.

Nah I’m hella pissed off?? What do you mean “you forget me”. Why agree to a date if you were just moving the next day??? Xavier really starts liking you and you want him to forget about you???

Wait wait wait…hold up! After having almost the perfect first date (minus points of getting locked in the escape room), Samantha now drops the bomb that she is moving??? WTF???

Xavier and Samantha’s first date is like my dream first date all tied up in one present!!

(I have at least done the mini golf first date and it’s sooo fun!)

Like Abby truly wrote the perfect fist date scene, I wanna watch this story play out on my tv like yesterday!!

I’m starting to understand some of the reviews pointing out how many pop culture moments there are in here. Like it’s okay to have some but it has been a lot in just 15% of the book 😅
