Okay so far. Just character intro upto now. Nice concept I guess.

I think I was wrong when I said that romance has taken over the book. It’s not exactly romance. I don’t know what word I can put.

And the flying chimaera? Why is there a flying monster pet in every fantasy book these days? 😭

As I’m over fifty percent through part two of the book, I begin to wonder. Wasn’t romance supposed to be like a sub-plot of the book? I don’t know maybe it’s just me but I’m feeling like the events are now just going around Kaine and Helena, how they’ve formed their bond and their shared trauma.

It’s getting a bit better.

Once she finds out that the holdfasts have always been lying about having been blessed by Sol miracles to win the past wars and that it was always that they won the wars by chance, it a bit better. Part 2 was a little boring a little in the beginning. And Part 2 is not very gothic like the way part 1 was. I was hoping the book to be more gothic.

Pretty good! Like how it’s fast paced despite being a huge book.

Very intriguing so far. There’s a lot of hype about it on social media and everyone says how the ending is so heart breaking. It seems promising to me.
