If the protagonist has only been exposed to one language throughout their life, they should theoretically have no complications with speaking grammatically. We learn, grammar purely by hearing it and innately learning the rules as we articulate words that we hear. It’s possible some grammar rules could adjust over the course of however many years the girls were quarantined. But the mc shouldn’t have to relearn.

I think this moment with the family was actually so good to me? I literally have no sisters but like I think all the family stuff was really well worked and created and formed and just omg I liked it. If you’re a chess fan you’ll hate how this is written because omg what??? But I still like it???
