Something about starting not only my month, but also the week, off with a Brandy Hynes book just feels right. Bring on all the La Lune Noire vibes!

Was this story basic? Yes. Was I giggling and kicking my feet the whole time? Also yes. Did I develop an obsession with an Italian billionaire? 100%. This book had no reason to be this hot- seriously, Jacob Morgan- Dante Russo- like I actually can’t 🤭🫠 but damn if this wasn’t exactly what I needed to get me out of a book slump!

This was like a bad lifetime movie that I couldn’t turn off. Finishing this was my own personal hell. 365 pages and roughly 6 hours of my life I’ll never get back. I should have dnf’ed at 20% at the latest. Lesson painfully learned. Excuse me while I go pour bleach in my eyes in hopes to burn this from my retinas.

On the heels of my very first dnf, was picking another unknown indie book with very few ratings wise? TBD…

DNF. The only redeeming thing from this was including the mental health hotline number because I would willing walk into traffic if it meant this book would be erased from my brain.
