Easy to read, makes you realize how short American history really is.

Section on Mass Line is my favorite atm, though lots of good quotes in other sections. Favorite at present is on the different types of liberalism from his piece "Combating Liberalism"

Well so far Socrates is kinda being a dick to this slave boy. If you can get past that there’s some good stuff at least in the dialogues and you gotta admit Socrates argues very efficiently. He asks questions of his interlocutor Meno and holds him to account for the dodging and nonsense one might deploy when trapped in a losing argument. Masterful really but Socrates is a dick to the slave boy.

So far this reads as a necessary follow up to Desert, puts the reviews Desert has received on this site in perspective.

First Warhammer novel and I'm really enjoying it so far. Author does a good job of capturing the enormity of events. The characters have a gravitas one would expect from this universe, and you're painted a rich image of the battle to the Emperor of Mankind.

Seems like Morris has misrepresented Locke's arguments in a few ways. Smuggling in his own interpretation. There are some salient ideas in this introduction, but one should read critically.

Surprisingly funny at times
