I LOVE this. The shade trail has been the cherry on top of every novice that beefs with Nona

One thing I unfortunately can’t stop noticing is how many times violet asks and answers a question. “And my silence? It’s starting to feeling like blank blank blank” and then on the next page “and since I killed NAME last year? All bets are off” there are so many repeats with this structure

I struggled through this the first time and didn’t even read onyx storm so I’m rereading and hoping I get it this time around

SHUT UP just got to a part that reconnects to the prologue in a way I didn’t see coming wow.

Not even halfway through and I ordered the rest of the series

Wow I already adore Gideon

Excited to read this! Got confused the first couple of chapters because I felt out of the loop and then I realized what was going on and why the author sequenced the POVs and chapters that way…perhaps the books I’ve been reading have been spoon feeding me info and I’ve gotten used to it I fear

Rereading…gonna find out why I only gave this 3 stars I guess

Is it crazy to say I see more of myself in Nesta than I care to admit but every time I read this I definitely feel a bit better as a person

Okay I feel like people forget nesta has been through so much trauma and violation! Everybody handles everything differently but I totally understand shutting everybody out and pushing people away as a result - obviously that doesn’t resolve her of the early years before the ACOTAR but idk it’s sooo much more interesting to read someone who’s far from perfect you know

Curious to see what I think reading this again years later I will say I abhor the hot pink cover with all my heart it hurts my eyes I wish I never gave away my original copy ugh

Wow I’m so ngl I do not remember there being this many em dashes lmao

oh you're kidding me why did this feel so rushed at the same time I'm complaining about the miscommunication or lack of communication

this is like nails on chalkboard to me right now

Can they just communicate and kiss and get together? This just feels so drawn out. Like I do not want to read 100 more pages of oooh he’s not into me because we’ve been friends for years and oooh she’s not into me because we’ve been friends for years. (I’m going to read to a point where there’s a reason why they haven’t tried to be more than friends aren’t I)

OMG?????

Sorry what

This is cute but it feels like an ad for Starbucks

Okay is she dead and telling the story as a ghost

Not sure why everything seems to be working out but there’s 50 pages left…

I’ve been struggling to pick up a physical book recently but I just watched every year after on prime and really wanted to read some Carley fortune and found this at the library. UGH it’s what I needed - a summer read

I bought a signed edition the day this came out in bookstores and I waited until almost 3 years later to start reading it but now I’m so excited to read it enter the Londons

I’m genuinely SO pissed off reading this

I have never been so pissed off reading. idk what happens in this book but I support Millie’s rights and wrongs

You would think she’d have a little sense and not say anything that would get the wife in trouble IF SHE ALREADY HAS BAD VIBES AND HAS BEEN IN THE SIUTATION BEFORE

Giving this another try

Rereading

“Mock me all you like. Whatever I imagined then, now it is I who would beg and grovel for a kind word from your lips.” His eyes are black with desire. “By you, I am forever undone.” SHUT UPPPPP

Am I reading the same book as everyone this feels incredibly disjointed

I think the setting and descriptions of the castle is not letting me feel immersed in it I just can’t picture anything
