Why is one of the MMC saying “honeys, I’m home”? EYUCK

…. The writing is so bad. Every male in the book sucks.

I’m intrigued but the dialogue is killing me. Feels like a bad fanfic.

There isn’t a single character in this book that makes sense of that I like? Like how does the MC says she she loves the murder victim like family but knew her for like a day? The woman priest drinks beer and they call her Father? A character tried to justify selling meth?? I’m just finishing this book since I’m already half way through.

The character are very immature and poorly written. Still reading just to solve the mystery.

I feel utterly lost in this book so far….. this can go two ways
1) a deep dive into an amazing world building fantasy
or
2) a super complicated world that ends up making me lose interest due to lack of understanding what the heck is going on.

We shall see.

Honestly just trying to finish the book at this point. The story so far is so flat.

I have very mixed feelings about this book. I can’t put it down but the characters lack depth and are written in an immature manner. It’s giving fanfic vibes. The main character is suppose to be a badass but all she’s done is complain and flail around like a chicken with her head cut off. Very much damsel in distress… but imma read it through.

Really into this book but I gotta say Catia is starting to drive me crazy. She keeps saying that Josh is going to hurt her but at this rate it’s going to be the other way around.
