Well expressions and communications deffer in meaning across the globe... but alcohol myopia is an interesting perspective and something new

The height of ignorance and negligence by Gene (The dad) is unbelievable. Hints of a bipolar disorder seem prevalent, but this seems unreal. Gripping read so far

I kind of like the concept but the openness of the faith where it readily absorbs other local deities into the Vedas as avatars etc have probably made it disillusioned and easily twisted to the whims of politicians and godmen of today's era. Brahman and the initial concepts of the Vedas make complete sense, but it should have had people realise learn and understand the knowledge rather than dilute it to be accepted.

Really rivetting especially for someone who only knows about the existance of castesims but knows nothing about it . Its really disturbing to learn of the level of injustice

Oh the treasure trove of knowledge Salman has, and the little snippets with which he highlights it throughout this book is astonishing. Beautiful and complex storing emerging ! R.I.P Apu :p
