I kind of like the concept but the openness of the faith where it readily absorbs other local deities into the Vedas as avatars etc have probably made it disillusioned and easily twisted to the whims of politicians and godmen of today's era. Brahman and the initial concepts of the Vedas make complete sense, but it should have had people realise learn and understand the knowledge rather than dilute it to be accepted.
