Oooh, picks up pretty much right where the first book left off. I’m remembering how much I enjoyed this author!

Audiobook narrated by the author! Immediately drawn in to this well researched book that is incredibly personal to the author’s ancestral history.

“Explore your contradictions.” I can’t describe how moving it’s been to hear Tim Curry’s voice narrating his memoir. From the first word. With his recent passing, it’s rather poignant.. Such grounded humility already clear from this book.

Hook from the first lines. Already so drawn in to the characters and the poetic writing style, such longing. And the backdrop of Croatia sounds so beautiful. [I chose this book for an Around the World book challenge for my “Croatia” read]
