I’ve read 256 pages in one sitting and how many times can one book fully break my heart? So far it’s been 4, but I accidentally spoiled something for myself so I know there’s more. If a dog dies I might DNF I can’t take the heart break 😭😫

Almost like there’s so much detail on the plot and describing surroundings, I keep forgetting what Amma’s motivations are. We know very little about either of their pasts. Anyways, there’s been several scenes in the inn that have TRAGICALLY had two beds 😖

2:30 min in. Her mom bought 10 bags of frozen corn. I relate to this because in her pantry, my mom has 12 containers of protein powder, 11 cans of tomato sauce, 30 boxes of coffee, 10 cans of mushrooms, 12 cans of beans, but only 4 cans of corn.
