no clue where the story is going but I’m locked in! the sci-fi themes are intriguing 👀

First read of 2026! This story is set in Jamaica 🇯🇲 countryside and I am in loveeeee. Gut wrenching so far but I’m rooting for Pumpkin! (I borrowed this one from the library, since I haven’t been feeling like reading off of my kindle lately).

DNF’d at 32%. This book was quite cringey. The FMC has blonde curly hair that was described as animal like, “Medusa” like, wild etc. Didn’t appreciate that. The MMC, who is the ghost in the story, was a spirit for 100 years but somehow instantly fell in love and couldn’t help themselves around this one candy obsessed clumsy lady…right.

Didn’t enjoy it - will stop here!

Am I enjoying this book? I don’t think so. Not sure if I will DNF here or pause for a bit and come back to it 🤔

This book is dragginggggg. I’m a bit drained with the FMC’s “no one can love me, why would anyone pick me, you’ll regret choosing me” trope. It gets old after a while. Especially when the MMC is actively doing both grand and intimate gestures towards the FMC.

So this Devonte character is getting a little ridiculous now…let’s see where this goes

when I tell you this book has me GRIPPING my kindle?! I can’t even go to bed at this point. I have to see the story through because what is going on?!
