She’s so aggressively millennial

It’s finally picking up! 😭

This mc is veryyy hermione and the male mc reminds me a bit of harry, but harry isn’t this smart. No shade.

Definitely a book enjoyed in bite sizes(microdoses as Anika would say), review by review. I’ve decided definitely can’t be the only book in rotation at a time.

“What is the Ramayana but the account of one long, bad day for Rama?” LMAO

The first books ending was so solid I’m trying the second although many have told me it’s a bit more filler

This is nauseating. 😭 but I need to know what happens, I’ll finish it slowly probably

I’ve been disappointed by a lot of books recently, but heard this one was a fun read, so hoping it gets me out of my funk

Sometimes I wonder if Colleen Hoover read Rebecca, Verity strikes me as very similar, but maybe it’s just a common premise

PLOT TWIST. I only needed to make it two thirds of the book to be properly invested. WOW I might watch the movie

I just feel bad for her all the time, she didn’t know she was signing up for this. Everyone around her needs to go to therapy or smthg. Her too lowkey

Obsessed by Olivia Rodrigo is like the perfect song for this book, thematically.

One of my worst fears lowkey is that I’d become Mrs Van Hopper

If i struggled with spice harvesting i would build irrhythmic spice harvesters, but i suppose way easier to do the carry all method. in the long term though.

guys I started rewatching the movie and I’m thinking of giving the book another chance.

I really want to like it 😓

“. Lovecraft had a horror of all seafood, and it is interesting to note how many of his monsters are aquatic in origin.”

LMAO me too king

Genuinely thought i was misreading this part, wtf 😭😭

Oh we get preston’s pov too! interesting, not sure how I feel about it, but maybe it’ll be interesting

Little bit neil gaiman core

effy annoyed me at first, but has rather quickly grew on me tbh. I like the setting and the haunting of hill house energy, I like mad women and manor houses ig

“Two days earlier, he had arrived by direct flight from China to Tocumen International Airport near Panama City and then rode a helicopter here. ”

Omg I’ve been there !!

The show is wayyy better oh my god 10/10, feeling like I strongly understand the adventists pov this week idk and the show makes me care about the humans. but I do think the show hits more because I read the book

Caved and started rewatching the show, wayyyy better pacing wise I think, but also so much detail is lost and I like the exposition in the book, so I’m torn

It was interesting and then now we’re on some side plot im so bored

I can’t wait to rewatch the show after this highkey, so much background lost in the show, but I felt more connected to the characters😭

I like the story, but I almost don’t believe in the characters’ friendships and other relationships. Like the interactions don’t feel natural for most. I wonder how much of any depth there is lost in translation

oh my god
“Wang subconsciously thought of her as the long-obsolete DOS operating system: a blank, black screen, a bare “C:\>” prompt, a blinking cursor. Whatever you entered, it echoed back. Not one extra letter and not a single change. But now he knew that behind the “C:\>” was a bottomless abyss. “

Bro he hates her.

“She spoke like a telegraph and gave him the impression that she was always extremely cold. It wasn’t the kind of coldness that some people put on like a mask—hers suffused her all the way through.”

there’s plot! it only took 3/4s of the book! to be honest I do really like it though
