First part from Herodotus to Machiavelli. It doesn't read so smooth and nicely as the Cambridge History Of Political Thought series and it has big gaps. Moving from Machiavelli to Hobbes, means this author is skipping a great deal of very interesting writers. One very sloppy mistake. Author stated Dante died in Verona, though actually he died in Ravenna and that is also where he is buried.
