I don’t like Lila. She’s demanding, rude, unbending, and judgmental. She definitely isn’t loving like a Christian. It makes reading the book hard because she’s the only POV.

WHY AM I READING THIS BOOK!?! The women and men are such sluts. OMG. The MMC is a manwhore. The "friend" Jackie is a tramp determined to get any of the brothers. ANY. She doesn't care which one. UGH. Seriously, the FMC is standing there watching another woman paw all over the man who is supposed to eventually be her guy? WTAF is this? I am not amused or enchanted. Will I make it to 40 percent?

I'm already thinking about quitting this book. The author, probably in an attempt to increase word count, keeps repeating the same information. Paragraph one information is repeated in paragraph two but worded slightly differently. It's annoying and boring. I'm already so bored with this book. Also, I thought they were best friends? They're strangers!

So far, I'm enjoying this book. He needs to grow up and she needs to loosen up. I can see them being good for each other. A solid opposites attract that's well written.

Here comes the stupid standard drama trope. Female MC has to be somewhere in 2 weeks and can't have a relationship. SIGH

Also, what the heck with the thought about Travis having all his hair? He's 28! Not 48. Sheesh.

I've already noticed a couple of things that I may not like.

Huh, the author is using survivors guilt AGAIN to explain the grumpy behavior of the potential love interest. Come on, now. I hope she doesn't follow the footprint of book one.

Also, how annoying can Mallory be with her need to please? She better get a backbone soon and tell those spoiled brat teenage stepsons of hers to knock it off.

The author has only described some of the characters in very vague terms. It makes it close to impossible to get to know these characters when basic characteristics such as eye and hair color are never even mentioned!

I found the author's note in the beginning of the book explaining to those who questioned the poor grammar of some of the characters insulting. The comment about uneducated people talking that way was off-putting. If readers can't understand character dialect inside of parenthesis, then I don't know what to say. I'm already angry and that will taint my enjoyment of the story.

So far, I really like this book. I'm going to speculate that "Katie" (not saying her name because don't want to spoil anybody) is a dark witch who killed members of her coven to try to become stronger. If this pans true then I'll be disappointed because the mystery is too obvious. A

It's a little jarring how they went from "Don't tell Lucas anything about us!" to Lucas knows everything. It feels as if something is missing between books 3 and 4. I'm a little disappointed since the author up to this point has done a good job keeping things in-line and consistent. I hope this sloppy oversight doesn't continue.

So far the book is good, I’m enjoying the characters and it’s well written. The gloom and over all depressed environment is a bit much for my tastes but I can see how it lends to the tone of the book. I’d move rather than live in a town with that sort of cloud hanging over it!
