To say this is a Shakespeare play I knew absolutely nothing about, this is actually really good with excellent female characters. And ‘Exit, pursued by a bear’ and ‘Enter TIME’ are now two of my favourite obscene stage directions 😂

I’m still enjoying this one, but I have to admit it’s been edited really poorly. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many grammatical mistakes and missing words in a fully published book before, and there are lots of little inconsistencies that haven’t been corrected (e.g. in the chapter I’ve just finished, Eirene dropped something, didn’t pick it back up, and then a few paragraphs later dropped it again!)

I’m still enjoying this one, but I do think it would’ve been better suited to being written as adult rather than YA

This is turning out to be a lovely surprise so far! I’m really enjoying the writing and I’m definitely intrigued!

Uni work is really wrecking my reading time (final year is rough 😭) but I’m still really loving this!

I’m honestly loving this so much. Sure, it’s a little cheesy, but it’s such fun and providing the perfect cosy hobbit-style vibes that I need right now 🥰

I’m once again having the same issues I had with Fitzgerald’s other books that I ended up DNFing, and this one in particular just reads really cringey to me 😭

Reading this for my final year project at uni (where I’m writing a fantasy novel with autism rep, hence my reading this), but I’ve previously DNFed two other Bea Fitzgerald books and I’m worried I just don’t get along with her writing 😭

I’m going to try read a bit more so I can read some of the autism rep, but I have a feeling I’m not going to like this one either 😭

Yes, I immediately bought a copy of this after finishing book 1 😂

This already feels stronger though, particularly in the writing!!

“Don’t cry Mummy” might have just broken me, I didn’t expect to be crying over this book but here I am 😭

I’ve been foolishly putting off reading more from Rebecca Ross for far too long, I’m loving this!
