From about the halfway point to now, its been really dragging ass and repetitive.

Not too far into this and already like it better than Kingdom of the Wicked. I wasn't too sure id read another book by this author, but we shall see how it goes

Iris POV is not very good 😮‍💨 she's immature and it's not a good time reading it. Lucy's past and present POV however, is actually interesting. I'm hoping things start picking up, because Iris dragging on and on about selling stuff at the old house is getting old.

Omg they're draaaaaging the "truth of her past" ordeal. Her refusal to learn anything at all because she stuffs every single difficult emotion down is getting so, so old.

The story is pretty decent, but the FMC is getting a little tiresome with the petulant, childish, behavior right now.

I just finished Caraval, and this has a similar vibe. 2 sisters go somewhere new and exciting to escape a bad situation at home..
